Shilo Cote, an Algonquin and Odawa artist from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg and Wiikwemkoong, is the creator behind Quality Quills. For over 20 years, she has been crafting distinctive, handmade jewelry inspired by her culture and connection to natural materials. Her one-of-a-kind earrings reflect her creativity, cultural pride, and passion for her craft.
Now, as a member of ADAAWE’s 2026 Wejibàbandan cohort, Shilo is ready to focus fully on growing Quality Quills. With a recent Pow Wow Pitch Fashion Semi-Final win behind her, she is building on years of experience and taking the next steps toward making her passion her full-time livelihood.
