About ADAAWE Indigenous Business Hub

ADAAWE, meaning “to trade” in Algonquin Anishinaabe, is an Indigenous Business Hub and co-working space located on Algonquin Anishinaabe territory in the National Capital Region. The name was gifted to us by our Elder in Residence, Algonquin Elder and Knowledge Keeper Claudette Commanda.

At ADAAWE, we provide Indigenous entrepreneurs with flexible workspace, mentorship, training, and essential business resources to help them grow businesses rooted in Indigenous values and practices. Our hub fosters community collaboration and offers opportunities for vendor showcases, retail partnerships, and business development.

Grounded in Indigenous teachings, ADAAWE is a supportive environment where entrepreneurs can thrive, uplifted by a network of peers, partners, and the broader community.
