The Medicine of Entrepreneurship: May ADAAWE Mixer

Join us for an evening of connection, inspiration, and community as ADAAWE members gather to share food, stories, and meaningful conversations in a welcoming space rooted in entrepreneurship and collective growth.

We are honoured to welcome April Mitchell-Boudreau, founder of LOFTTAN Jewelry, as our keynote speaker. A Turtle Clan Mohawk designer from Six Nations, April will share reflections on “the medicine of being an entrepreneur”—offering a grounding and inspiring perspective on creativity, purpose, and building a business rooted in identity and intention.

The evening will also include a special screening of a powerful music video by April’s sister, raising awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people (MMIWG/MMIP) in Canada, followed by a sharing-circle–style conversation space.

Expect an evening filled with community announcements, giveaways, and the chance to connect with fellow Indigenous entrepreneurs.

Come ready to share your journey, listen deeply, and leave feeling grounded, inspired, and connected.

ADAAWE is a hub for Indigenous entrepreneurs in the National Capital Region to gather, learn, and thrive on unceded Algonquin Territory.
